The Department of Early Childhood expects to release a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation Initiative in late fall/early winter. The RFP will establish a new funding cycle for this long-standing support in preschool and family resource center settings. The Department of Public Health will release an RFP for these supports in other settings. This initiative activates a DEC Core Health Strategy to improve the social, emotional and behavioral health of children by enhancing the understanding, practices, and capacities of the providers who care for them.
